The RDX Aura Plus T-17 Chest Guard is a full-coverage body protector designed for boxing, Muay Thai, and MMA sparring where rib, sternum, and abdominal protection is needed. Sparring body shots are one of the most common causes of rib injuries in combat sports — a quality chest guard absorbs and distributes that impact so training stays productive rather than setting you back with an injury.
Construction & Coverage
Built from Maya Hide™ Kalix Skin leather — RDX's high-grade synthetic outer used across their premium product range. The T-17's extended coverage profile protects the sternum, ribs, and upper abdomen — the full frontal target zone exposed during body-to-body sparring exchanges. The guard is anatomically shaped to follow the natural contours of the torso, sitting flush against the body rather than protruding in a way that restricts arm movement.
Impact Absorption
The interior foam system is engineered to absorb and disperse body shot impact across the guard's full surface area rather than concentrating force at the contact point. This significantly reduces the peak force experienced by the ribs and sternum, allowing harder sparring with better protection — and less cumulative fatigue over a training camp.
Fit & Attachment
Secure attachment system keeps the guard locked in position through the natural twisting, ducking, and body rotation of boxing and MMA movement.
